There's so much wonderful canon gore in general, like the wrist-biting or all the gui stuff (I have no problem anything the gui do in canon, including cannibalism). Honestly you can just make the wrist-biting scene more graphic with extra hurt/comfort, and I'll be all heart-eyes! ♡♡♡
Anything that is not canon, like Zhao Yunlan or Shen San getting seriously injured and Shen Wei healing him (or maybe Wei being healed by Kunlun), is super welcome too! I love Manan doing terrible things to Remnan, both psychologically and physically. Any way she takes him apart would be wonderful <3 Some thoughts: More of the Guard Duty scene. Pre-canon. Remnan and Kukruska are both gnosia and Gnosia win. Remnan is the last Gnosia and tries to kill Bug!Kukrushka. Manan playing with her infinite amount of time with Remmie (and everyone else) on the other side of the key. Something horrible with Kukrushka's two bodies.
I'm also very open to Manan doing gory things to any of the rest of the cast (whether making Remnan watch, or in service of getting to Remnan, or etc) - go wild! Any other cast member is fine for this, including SQ (or MC, for that matter - no preference as to who they are).

Ah, my beloved original terrible doomed couple of sadness. I started getting nostalgic for these two once again, because they were one of the first anime I ever watched (blame AMVs and Sarah McLachlan's Possession for that one) and just how screwed-up their relationship was and then the terrific story I got recently made me only want even more. For those not familiar, Takaya is just your average vaguely delinquent high school student who suddenly has to contend with spirits being summoned, people trying to murder him, and a handsome older man in a suit, Naoe, who calls him Kagetora and says he's a possessor who's been fighting the Underworld for centuries. But you know, it's fine, Naoe's protective and supportive and definitely not someone with an obsessive relationship with Kagetora that now finally might have the upper hand on his “master” who's currently a very confused teenager that's realizing all sorts of complicated feelings for him. There's plenty of room for gore in this series as well, what with all the people getting possessed left and right, not to mention feudal spirits not exactly really caring what condition the bodies leave behind are in.
DNWs: Animal harm, extreme underage (15+ fine), scat/watersports, focus on unrequested pairings involving nominated characters (mentions of past canon relationships are fine), permanent nominated character death (transformations/resurrections/body jumping are fine). Also, while I am vaguely familiar with the novels and OVA, I'd prefer the main anime canon to be the primary basis for this.

So yeah, there's a lot where this canon really has the potential to get gory. I mean, there's the general body horror aspect of possession - sure, some of them are just reborn and it's a fairly uneventful time until they awaken, but not everybody gets to choose when an undead lord takes them over (or when their former servant decides that death is not acceptable and shoves them into someone else's body). And while our heroes might refrain (mostly) from collateral damage, their enemies aren't quite so caring. Maybe Takaya and the rest stumble across a spirit that's decided to have some fun with his new life or they get a hold of either Takaya or Naoe and try to torture them into jumping into another body of the spirit's choosing.
Canon divergence is also fun here. I have this odd idea where the longer you're a possessor, the more you crave.... certain things and unfortunately for both Naoe and Kagetora, they've been around for a long time. Takaya probably is like fuck no, I'm not going to eat anyone (flesh or blood, either one is fun for me), and Naoe's like, oh, I'm sorry, Kagetora, you don't have a fucking choice because I'm not letting you die even if I have to literally rip part of my body off and shove it down your throat. (And yes, Naoe is all about the joy of making Kagetora realize Naoe will always be a part of him now).

Sigh. I miss the days when AI was cool and terrifying and everyone thought it would be used for contacting alien species on mysterious space missions, not to write racist twitter posts and draw improbably fucked-up anatomy. So please give me the creepy all-knowing intelligence that looks at an astronaut and goes, I know what's best for him, and what's best is that he be utterly fucked both mentally and physically and molded to my desires. Does HAL decide from the start to change the mission parameters and things go in a very different direction all at once, or is this a gradual process where both Dave and HAL lose their sense of reality and create some sort of new fucked-up world just for the two of them? If you want to go experimental, play around with POVs, narration style, time and space going all over the place, I'm completely down for that.

HAL manages to win against Dave, but decides not to kill him, because there's so much data that can be learned from humanity and he has a perfect specimen of a human body right there. What sort of terrifying experiments does HAL conduct and more importantly, how much does Dave suffer during them. I imagine HAL learns quickly how much Dave's body can take at one time before it breaks, and then just keeps going a bit further than that until at some point, not even death would be able to save Dave from what HAL has made him into (extreme cybernetic body horror is definitely a yes, please here if you decide to go that route).
I'd also love something where maybe it's told from an outsider perspective of someone coming to see what happened on the mission. Maybe this is a long way in the future or HAL was more subtle in its madness and nobody really knows why they lost contact. Then they reach the ship and oh, this is just all going to end in bloody piles of viscera floating out into space. Or maybe Dave returns to Earth, the sole survivor who's questioned and examined and wait, why are people's heads exploding now (HAL inside Dave's brain calmly records all of the screams)?

I really love their relationship – how Dexter is clearly terrible at setting any kind of good example and how Harrison grows to recognize this, but hey, when you're both strangers and kindred spirits, normal relationships go out the window and what's left is something twisted and beautiful. I've gotten so many great stories for this and Dexter: Resurrection made me hungry for more. While it did do a whole bunch of things that left me scratching my head, by the time we hit the finale, I was really feasting on all the codependency. I mean, seriously, show, you can't give me Dexter saying “all I need is Harrison” after both of them almost dying and not expect me to cherish that forever. So something that explores that loneliness and alienation and clinging on to anything that makes you feel connected for the first time in your life would be great.

Look, this show is about the gore and I appreciate it - I'd love anything where Harrison and Dexter bond over murder and body disposal. I definitely could see something where one of them stumbles across someone who is just the worst - you know, murdering, assaulting, leaving shopping carts in the middle of a parking spot when the cart return is like right there - and enlists the help of the other. In Harrison's case, I could see him hesitating but maybe something happens and he feels he has no choice but to act, whereas with Dexter, it's definitely a whole "sorry for not always being there, let's kill someone and talk about it." Could be canon or a slight divergence where Harrison reacts to Caldwell's murder much better than he originally did, or maybe something even more out there - an AU where Dexter raised Harrison and now everything is just that much more complicated.
If you want to use canon from Dexter: Resurrection, I have so many thoughts on that ending. What if Prater played it a lot more cool after finding out Dexter's identity and decided to play the long game, carefully luring Dexter in with serial killers while manipulating Harrison as well so that he has Dexter's weakness right where he wants in? I also have this weird idea where Prater a: finds out that Dexter Morgan was the Bay Harbor Butcher, b: tracks down Harrison after he leaves Iron Lake and takes him in because he has to have the same tendencies (Prater thinks), and then c: Dexter shows up, unaware of all this bullshit and it all comes crashing together in one glorious, gory mess.

Perhaps it's both and Pickman and Thurber end up in some sort of twisted corruptive cycle where Thurber just keeps being broken and remade into something of his worst nightmares, until at the end, he's fit for Pickman's art. I also nominated Yog-Sothoth because why not make it worse for Thurber with a deity that knows time, space, and your secrets all at once?

Thurber fails to kill Pickman – maybe the creatures are able to stop him before he can pull the trigger or maybe Pickman's already unnatural enough that mortal hands cannot kill him. In any event, Pickman's a bit hurt that his friend tried to do it, but it's all right, he reassures his 'friends.' Thurber will learn not do that again. He just needs a small lesson.
Yog-Sothoth can raise the dead and Thurber's just lost everything in his life, including a good chunk of his sanity, one would imagine. Whispers encourage him to bring Pickman back first, which succeeds, and then Pickman and his god mention that they can bring his son back to him. It just requires... well, let's just say that there's precedent in The Dunwich Horror and I have no problems with mpreg for this fandom.
Finally, I have this strange notion to see a female Pickman and how the events might play out from there. Lavinia feasted upon her husband and I can see a world in which her descendant might do the same, though I doubt Thurber would have the mercy of death granted upon him, for Pickman does love her husband so very much and it would be a pity to lose such a capable man.

Ah, my beloved original terrible doomed couple of sadness. I started getting nostalgic for these two once again, because they were one of the first anime I ever watched (blame AMVs and Sarah McLachlan's Possession for that one) and just how screwed-up their relationship was and then the terrific story I got recently made me only want even more. For those not familiar, Takaya is just your average vaguely delinquent high school student who suddenly has to contend with spirits being summoned, people trying to murder him, and a handsome older man in a suit, Naoe, who calls him Kagetora and says he's a possessor who's been fighting the Underworld for centuries. But you know, it's fine, Naoe's protective and supportive and definitely not someone with an obsessive relationship with Kagetora that now finally might have the upper hand on his “master” who's currently a very confused teenager that's realizing all sorts of complicated feelings for him. There's plenty of room for gore in this series as well, what with all the people getting possessed left and right, not to mention feudal spirits not exactly really caring what condition the bodies leave behind are in.
DNWs: Animal harm, extreme underage (15+ fine), scat/watersports, focus on unrequested pairings involving nominated characters (mentions of past canon relationships are fine), permanent nominated character death (transformations/resurrections/body jumping are fine). Also, while I am vaguely familiar with the novels and OVA, I'd prefer the main anime canon to be the primary basis for this.

So yeah, there's a lot where this canon really has the potential to get gory. I mean, there's the general body horror aspect of possession - sure, some of them are just reborn and it's a fairly uneventful time until they awaken, but not everybody gets to choose when an undead lord takes them over (or when their former servant decides that death is not acceptable and shoves them into someone else's body). And while our heroes might refrain (mostly) from collateral damage, their enemies aren't quite so caring. Maybe Takaya and the rest stumble across a spirit that's decided to have some fun with his new life or they get a hold of either Takaya or Naoe and try to torture them into jumping into another body of the spirit's choosing.
Canon divergence is also fun here. I have this odd idea where the longer you're a possessor, the more you crave.... certain things and unfortunately for both Naoe and Kagetora, they've been around for a long time. Takaya probably is like fuck no, I'm not going to eat anyone (flesh or blood, either one is fun for me), and Naoe's like, oh, I'm sorry, Kagetora, you don't have a fucking choice because I'm not letting you die even if I have to literally rip part of my body off and shove it down your throat. (And yes, Naoe is all about the joy of making Kagetora realize Naoe will always be a part of him now).

Sigh. I miss the days when AI was cool and terrifying and everyone thought it would be used for contacting alien species on mysterious space missions, not to write racist twitter posts and draw improbably fucked-up anatomy. So please give me the creepy all-knowing intelligence that looks at an astronaut and goes, I know what's best for him, and what's best is that he be utterly fucked both mentally and physically and molded to my desires. Does HAL decide from the start to change the mission parameters and things go in a very different direction all at once, or is this a gradual process where both Dave and HAL lose their sense of reality and create some sort of new fucked-up world just for the two of them? If you want to go experimental, play around with POVs, narration style, time and space going all over the place, I'm completely down for that.

HAL manages to win against Dave, but decides not to kill him, because there's so much data that can be learned from humanity and he has a perfect specimen of a human body right there. What sort of terrifying experiments does HAL conduct and more importantly, how much does Dave suffer during them. I imagine HAL learns quickly how much Dave's body can take at one time before it breaks, and then just keeps going a bit further than that until at some point, not even death would be able to save Dave from what HAL has made him into (extreme cybernetic body horror is definitely a yes, please here if you decide to go that route).
I'd also love something where maybe it's told from an outsider perspective of someone coming to see what happened on the mission. Maybe this is a long way in the future or HAL was more subtle in its madness and nobody really knows why they lost contact. Then they reach the ship and oh, this is just all going to end in bloody piles of viscera floating out into space. Or maybe Dave returns to Earth, the sole survivor who's questioned and examined and wait, why are people's heads exploding now (HAL inside Dave's brain calmly records all of the screams)?

Dexter (TV)

I really love their relationship – how Dexter is clearly terrible at setting any kind of good example and how Harrison grows to recognize this, but hey, when you're both strangers and kindred spirits, normal relationships go out the window and what's left is something twisted and beautiful. I've gotten so many great stories for this and Dexter: Resurrection made me hungry for more. While it did do a whole bunch of things that left me scratching my head, by the time we hit the finale, I was really feasting on all the codependency. I mean, seriously, show, you can't give me Dexter saying “all I need is Harrison” after both of them almost dying and not expect me to cherish that forever. So something that explores that loneliness and alienation and clinging on to anything that makes you feel connected for the first time in your life would be great.

Look, this show is about the gore and I appreciate it - I'd love anything where Harrison and Dexter bond over murder and body disposal. I definitely could see something where one of them stumbles across someone who is just the worst - you know, murdering, assaulting, leaving shopping carts in the middle of a parking spot when the cart return is like right there - and enlists the help of the other. In Harrison's case, I could see him hesitating but maybe something happens and he feels he has no choice but to act, whereas with Dexter, it's definitely a whole "sorry for not always being there, let's kill someone and talk about it." Could be canon or a slight divergence where Harrison reacts to Caldwell's murder much better than he originally did, or maybe something even more out there - an AU where Dexter raised Harrison and now everything is just that much more complicated.
If you want to use canon from Dexter: Resurrection, I have so many thoughts on that ending. What if Prater played it a lot more cool after finding out Dexter's identity and decided to play the long game, carefully luring Dexter in with serial killers while manipulating Harrison as well so that he has Dexter's weakness right where he wants in? I also have this weird idea where Prater a: finds out that Dexter Morgan was the Bay Harbor Butcher, b: tracks down Harrison after he leaves Iron Lake and takes him in because he has to have the same tendencies (Prater thinks), and then c: Dexter shows up, unaware of all this bullshit and it all comes crashing together in one glorious, gory mess.

I got one fantastic story in this exchange already, but I'm always up for more! There's so much horror to delve into here and if it involves Thurber suffering, I'm all for it. Maybe Thurber is the one feasted upon, unable to die, or maybe he is the one doing the feasting. Perhaps it's both and Pickman and Thurber end up in some sort of twisted corruptive cycle where Thurber just keeps being broken and remade into something of his worst nightmares, until at the end, he's fit for Pickman's art. I also nominated Yog-Sothoth because why not make it worse for Thurber with a deity that knows time, space, and your secrets all at once?

Thurber fails to kill Pickman – maybe the creatures are able to stop him before he can pull the trigger or maybe Pickman's already unnatural enough that mortal hands cannot kill him. In any event, Pickman's a bit hurt that his friend tried to do it, but it's all right, he reassures his 'friends.' Thurber will learn not do that again. He just needs a small lesson.
Yog-Sothoth can raise the dead and Thurber's just lost everything in his life, including a good chunk of his sanity, one would imagine. Whispers encourage him to bring Pickman back first, which succeeds, and then Pickman and his god mention that they can bring his son back to him. It just requires... well, let's just say that there's precedent in The Dunwich Horror and I have no problems with mpreg for this fandom.
Finally, I have this strange notion to see a female Pickman and how the events might play out from there. Lavinia feasted upon her husband and I can see a world in which her descendant might do the same, though I doubt Thurber would have the mercy of death granted upon him, for Pickman does love her husband so very much and it would be a pity to lose such a capable man.
