As we move towards reveals, please take note:

Commenting on your gift(s) is required, as noted in the rules post. If you fail to comment on your gift(s), you will not be able to sign up in the future until you have commented.

DNW violations or anything else which results in a pinch hit (eg. incomplete works, etc) are exceptions as long as I am aware of them. Please contact me about any other circumstances which prevent you from commenting. (Note that you do not need to contact me if you will be delayed/late in commenting. There is no time limit; you simply must comment before signing up for future rounds.)

Creators: Please take a moment to check that your work is complete, the correct draft, spell checked, and does not have placeholder text or a working title.

Please also do not use your author's note or tags to insult or apologize for your work, whether for its quality or content. This is likely to make your recipient feel bad about their requests and/or gift. We're all here because we share an interest in gore. Don't shame each other!

Thank you for making a comment to your gift a requirement. (Unless of course something has happened beyond control, a dnw is posted, etc) I've been doing exchanges for a couple of years and to run into people who can't say a simple thank you is really disappointing when you've tried to make an effort in creating something for them.

Yeah, I think it's helpful for everyone when expectations around these things are clear, and I think it's also easy to fall down the trap of "well, I have to meet this deadline but that task isn't REQUIRED so I'll do it later," when you're busy. So, hopefully having it in the rules will help avoid disappointment. Thank you!

Would you suggest tagging "extra treats" in some way? Haven't seen anything like that on the tags page of the collection yet so I don't want to stand out, but I sometimes think it's useful, so you can give your main gift all the love it deserves.

Not a mod, but tags will only show up on the tag cloud if they've been canonized by AO3, and "extra treat" is not. (There are a lot of variants because some have already been wrangled to "yuletide treat," "trick or treat: treat," and so on.) So it's not weird to tag!

You're welcome to, but it's not a requirement. And yeah, which tags you'll see on the tags page depend on AO3's canonization process, so it won't be everything. Thanks for asking!
